SMASH Student Stipends
 

SMASH is offering a limited number of stipends to support participation by students and graduates holding academic post-doctorate positions.  To qualify you must be presenting a poster at SMASH.  Please be sure to submit your poster on-line.  To apply, complete the application, application.doc, and email it to SMASH Stipends.  You must also attach to the email a detailed abstract (at least 1 full page, but no more than 3 pages) that describes the work you wish to present.  Please send your abstracts as either Word or PDF documents. 

 Rules

• Awards for this year will be $1,000.00 (USD) for intercontinental travel and  $500.00 (USD) for all other travel.
• Applicants must be either a full time student or hold a post-doctorate position in an academic institution.
• Applicants must be presenting a poster at the conference and be main author.
• Applicants must also submit a detailed abstract (at least 1 full page) of the work to be presented.
• Failure to present the work submitted with this application or failure to attend your poster during the Poster Session will result in forfeiture of the stipend.
• Complete applications and abstracts must be received by the Awards Committee on or before June 30^th, 2010, applications received after this date will not be eligible.
• Awards will be announced on or before July 15^th, 2010.
• Award checks will be give out at the SMASH NMR Conference or shortly thereafter, no awards will be distributed prior to the conference.
• Awards will be made directly to the successful applicants, not to any other person or agency.
